Most PDF jobs are small and urgent — merge two files, shrink a scan for an e-mail form, turn a PDF back into something Word can edit — and the usual answer is a website that wants the file uploaded first. PDF 30-in-1 puts those tools in one desktop app and does the work on your own computer, so a contract or a payslip never has to leave it.

It is built around the jobs rather than a toolbar: pick a tool, drop the files in, check the preview, done. Organising pages, compressing, converting to and from Office formats, OCR, editing the PDF's own text, filling in forms and signing all live in the same window.

The free plan covers three tasks a day, which is enough for most people most weeks. PRO removes the limit, and there are no watermarks on your files either way.

PDF 30-in-1 is an offline PDF editor and PDF converter for Linux and Windows: 31 PDF tools in one desktop app. Merge and split PDFs, compress them, convert PDF to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and JPG and back again, make scanned PDFs searchable with OCR, edit a PDF's text, fill in forms and sign — and every file is processed on your own computer, never uploaded.

Every PDF tool, in one app

Organize

  • Merge PDF — combine several PDFs into one, in the order you choose.
  • Split PDF — by page ranges, every few pages, or by file size for an e-mail limit.
  • Remove, extract and organize pages — drag pages into order, rotate or delete them, add blank pages.
  • Scan to PDF — turn phone photos of documents into a clean PDF.

Optimize

  • Compress PDF — make the file smaller while keeping text sharp.
  • Repair PDF — recover damaged or corrupt files.
  • OCR PDF — make scanned PDFs searchable and copyable, in over 100 languages.

Convert

  • To PDF — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, PNG and web pages (HTML, from a file or a web address).
  • From PDF — Word (DOCX), Excel (XLSX), PowerPoint (PPTX), JPG and Markdown.
  • PDF/A — for long-term archiving.

Edit and sign

  • Edit PDF — change the PDF's own text, add text, highlights, shapes, images and drawings.
  • PDF forms — fill in forms, or turn a document into a fillable form.
  • Sign PDF — a drawn, typed or uploaded signature, a company stamp, or a digital signature with your own certificate (.p12 / .pfx).
  • Page numbers, watermarks, crop and rotate.

Security

  • Protect PDF — password protection with AES-256 encryption.
  • Unlock PDF, Redact PDF (remove sensitive text for good) and Compare PDF (two versions side by side).

Why offline matters for PDFs

The PDFs people need to fix in a hurry are usually the ones that should not travel: contracts, payslips, bank statements, ID scans. Online PDF tools ask you to upload them first. PDF 30-in-1 does the same jobs on your own computer, so the files stay where they are — and it keeps working with no internet connection at all. There is no sign-up, and nothing is stamped on the files it makes.

Installing PDF 30-in-1 on Linux

From the Snap Store:

sudo snap install pdf-30-in-1

From Flathub:

flatpak install flathub com.warlordsoftwares.pdf-30-in-1

Both packages come with everything the tools need, including LibreOffice for the Word, Excel and PowerPoint conversions, Tesseract for OCR and Ghostscript for PDF/A. Or download the portable AppImage from the latest release, make it executable and run it.

Installing on Windows

A Windows installer is published with each release, for Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit.

System requirements

  • Linux — any distribution that runs Snap, Flatpak or AppImage, x86_64
  • Windows — Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
  • AppImage and Windows — Office conversions use LibreOffice, OCR uses Tesseract and PDF/A uses Ghostscript, installed on the computer; the app tells you if one is missing
  • Network — only for HTML to PDF from a web address, downloading extra OCR languages, and your account

Frequently asked questions

Is PDF 30-in-1 free?

The free plan includes every tool, for three tasks a day. PRO removes the limit, with monthly, three-month and lifetime plans. Files made on either plan carry no watermark.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every tool runs on your computer and needs no internet connection, apart from converting a page from a web address and downloading extra OCR languages.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your PDFs and documents are processed on your own computer and never leave it.

Can it convert a PDF to an editable Word document?

Yes. PDF to Word gives you editable text and tables, or an exact-layout mode that keeps every line where it was on the page.

Which languages does OCR support?

Over 100. Pick the languages in OCR PDF; one that is not on your computer yet downloads once and is kept for next time.

Which languages is the app in?

19, including English, Spanish, German, French, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic. It follows your computer's language, and has light and dark themes and touchscreen support.
